Understanding Project Availability at Psych Industries

One of the most common questions we get at Psych Industries is about project availability. Some mental health professionals work on projects and then hear about the next project after a considerable amount of time has passed. The nature of our work is based on needs assessments and tailor-made approaches.

This means that our freelancers are selected for specific projects based on their scope of practice, areas of expertise, availability, and ability to meet the requirements of the project. As a result, you may experience some downtime. We thus encourage all our freelancers to continue on their journey while knowing that opportunities have the potential to be sent their way. Of course, should projects clash with your schedule - that’s okay! We will find something else that works for you!

An Overview of Psych Industries’ Projects vs. Talent Pool

The reality is, project availability can be unpredictable. Some opportunities may be one-off projects or require a freelancer to continue sessions with a client over a fixed long-term period. Despite our deep commitment and desire to create opportunities for all our freelancers, the availability of projects depends on the unique needs of each client. We might need a small, specialized team for a very specific mental health initiative, or a larger group for a short-term project.

It’s important to understand that, while Psych Industries offers flexible, project-based work, it isn’t guaranteed full-time employment. If you’re looking for consistent, long-term work, be aware that the rhythm of our projects may involve pauses, but it also opens doors for meaningful, varied work in the mental health field.

Why This Flexibility Works

Many of our contributors are drawn to Psych Industries because of the flexibility our projects offer. They can seamlessly complement your full-time practice or career, bringing variety while allowing you to contribute meaningfully to a range of mental health initiatives.

The pace may shift from project to project, but the work itself is consistently purposeful; and we make it a priority to keep you informed about upcoming opportunities. Our compensation structure is aligned with current market standards, ensuring that your expertise is valued. Whether you’re looking to supplement your income, expand your experience, or engage in projects that inspire you, we’d be delighted to connect with you.
